When we moved to Silicon Valley in 2009, one of the first things I did was search for a theater company. The one we most enjoyed was then-known as Shady Shakespeare, which has had a name change to Silicon Valley Shakespeare.
"As SVS, we will continue to provide you with the same exceptional theatrical synergy as always," SVS notes on the Shady Shakespeare Web site. "We look forward to continuing to bring you next-generation technology, a seamless integration of robust and diverse interpretations of the text, and productions and education programs that effectively affect change in the artistic landscape and the valley, at large ~ in short, to innovate, illuminate, and inspire."
With a new name comes a new website
"Please visit it to learn more about our upcoming shows," SVS notes, "ways you can support us in this new venture, and, as always, share your thoughts with us and our news with your friends and community."
We purchased season tickets for several years and then took a year or two off. I'm thinking we will renew in 2016. One of the plays I photographed was Midsummer Night's Dream. My apologies if the photos are blurry. I could not use a tripod and it was my first digital camera and I was getting used to it.
Since then, I've upgraded cameras and now have several solid DSLRs. I don't remember the names of the characters: stage names or real. If you find these photos on this site, feel free to download any you may find that you like. They are not for sale, of course.
