Red Dragon (Corylus avellana cv.) is a relatively new and distinct contorted red-leaf hazelnut that has twisting stems, dark burgundy leaves, burgundy-colored flowers and red nut hulls and nuts. It grows up to a height of 12 feet with a nearly 8-foot spread. Best grown in full sun. Red Dragon is the only contorted hazelnut with complete resistance to Eastern Filbert Blight.
