The Dhammapada is a Buddhist scripture with 26 main categories that feature 423 verses. Some scholars say the verses are answers from the Buddha regarding questions he was asked. Scholars say answers deal with ethics, but one could say they are every bit as much as morals. Love and hate are also addressed. Buddhaghosa's fifth century commentary includes more than 300 stories that provide context to the Dhammapada's verses.
