San Jose Municipal Rose Garden
The Canadian White Star rose is a brilliant white hybrid tea rose that stands out in any garden.

These Canadian White Star roses were photographed in the shade or at dusk at the beautiful San Jose Municipal Rose Garden in Silicon Valley.

They especially stood out at dusk. They are not known for their fragrance, which is mild at best, but they are beautiful bloomers with 40 to 45 petals. They might remind you of your grandmother's heirloom roses sans the fragrances, if you had a grandma who grew roses.

They bloom throughout the rose-growing season (spring to October where I live). Very hardy foliage on Canadian White Star roses is a dark green. It was bred by bred by George Mander and released in Canada in 1980.
